I am not sure how feasible it would be to play this, but I am interested in the idea of having four different lines coming from different directions, with the listener in the centre of all of them. Although all of the parts together very often create a discordant “wall” of sound, it is interesting how the individual lines emerge, particularly when they have been heard before.
(I played around a bit with how to record these: I have attempted to mimic pianos in different places with the stereo but it’s a bit bumpy! Hopefully it gives some idea of the effect…)

There are two versions of this, one with the recording and one with artificial sound. The first gives a better impression of four different pianos, but my playing is less than 100% accurate rhythmically so the parts are slightly out of sync! I have included the version with artificial sound as well to give a better idea of how it should all fit together.
