This was my first attempt to record something that I had written myself. I chose to write for four violins simply because the violin was what I was most comfortable playing (at least for recording purposes) and four parts provided a bit of scope for some texture.
There are four movements. I was aiming roughly for a classical string quartet-type arrangement with two fast outer movements, a slower second movement and a scherzo.
